Q: Where is your office located? A: 29 Fox St. Poughkeepsie, NY. One block south of Vassar Brothers medical Center Q: What is your phone number?

Q: Do I have to fast (refrain from eating/drinking) before surgery? A: If you choose general anesthesia, you must fast for 8 hours pre-operatively. You may take regular medications with a small sip of water without consequence. Q: Will I need a consultation prior to surgery? A: For in-depth procedures (e.g. wisdom teeth, implant surgery), it is necessary for a separate consultation visit. Any procedure involving a hospital stay/surgery center visit also will always have consultation first. However, many procedures can be seen and treated the same day. Q: Will I have a post-operative visit? A: Depending on the surgical procedure, you may or may not have one or more post-operative visits. Q: If I have implant surgery who will make my restoration (crown, bridge, denture). A: We work closely with your restorative doctor on all implant cases. Our expertise is surgery; we will place the implants in the jaw bone and get them ready for their restoration. Your dentist will make your restoration (teeth).
Q: Does Medicare pay for Oral Surgery? A: Dental care (including Oral Surgery) is not a covered expense under the Medicare system. Q: Are the doctors Board Certified? A: Yes. (see Our Surgeons page) Q: What insurance plans do you participate with? A: MetLife Preferred Dental Plan, Guardian, Delta Dental, CIGNA Dental Health. (see Insurance page) Q: Will I need a referral to see your doctors? A: Depending on your plan [medical or dental] you may need a referral form.
Q: Do you accept credit cards? A: Yes we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Q: Do you have financing options? A: Yes. Dental Fee Plan provides patients an outside source for financing procedures. Q: Are co-payments required at the time services are rendered? A: Yes. Q: If your doctors are not on my plan, can I still make an appointment? A: Of course. We do not treat your insurance, we treat you and your family with the utmost care and respect. Q: What are office hours? A: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Q: Is there coverage of the office after office hours? A: Yes. There will always be a doctor on call 7 days a week, 365 days a year. |
